Project No. 6
Jacobsen Lawn Mower, Jg. 1971

It was again a 'too much beer' idea!! Buy an old beat-up lawn mower and do some modification to make it faster....

The modification is pretty simple. Take the 12hp engine out and replace it with a 140hp jap motor (1100ccm, 4 cylinder Suzuki). This sounds really easy, but....

The original mower at home in my garage.

First test riding. The new motor is fixed in the frame.

A 140hp, 1100ccm 4-cylinder Suzuki engine. I guess that's fast enough!

It was quite a bit of engineering to bring the power to the custom made rear axle and to the ground.

The self made exhaust pipes...

Flames for ever, of course!!

That's it. The damn tracker is fast as hell. As it is geared up you could go 180km/h (115mph) but so far I did not dear to do that!-)

Next thing to do is to build a wheelie-bar - than the tracker is ready for drag-racing!
There we go!!

And now let's go racing!!!
