Jacobsen Lawn
Mower, Jg. 1971

It was again a 'too much
beer' idea!! Buy an old beat-up lawn mower and do some modification to
make it faster....
The modification is pretty
simple. Take the 12hp engine out and replace it with a 140hp jap motor
(1100ccm, 4 cylinder Suzuki). This sounds really easy, but....

The
original mower at home in my garage. |

 |
First
test riding. The new motor is fixed in the frame. |
| A 140hp,
1100ccm 4-cylinder Suzuki engine. I guess that's fast
enough! |

|
| It was quite
a bit of engineering to bring the power to the
custom made rear axle and to the ground. |
 |

|
 |
The
self made exhaust pipes... |
| Flames
for ever, of course!! |

|
 |
That's it.
The damn tracker is fast as hell. As it is geared
up you could go 180km/h (115mph) but so far I did
not dear to do that!-)
Next thing to do is to build a wheelie-bar - than
the tracker is ready for drag-racing! |
| There
we go!!
And now
let's go racing!!! |

|
Jippiiiii....;-)
